During the longest and darkest nights of the year, we look up. For centuries, travelers and seekers have trusted the stars as fixed points in a changing world. Scattered across an infinite meadow, their long silvery rays reaching toward us, the stars can lead us home when we have lost our bearings. Guided by Stars is a collection of songs for the moments when the way forward is uncertain and we need help finding our way.

The program begins far from home, moves through the night and the unknown, and arrives at a place of brightness where the stars themselves sing and welcome us in. With music by Eleanor Daley, Melissa Dunphy, Ēriks Ešenvalds, Zoltán Kodály, Naomi LaViolette, and more, Musae offers a concert about holding to what matters when the night is long, and about the light we carry for one another.
