During her free time, she enjoys cycling, exploring the numerous hiking trails throughout the Bay Area, cooking, traveling, and crossword puzzles.<br /><br />Sabrina has been singing since 1988, when she joined the San Francisco Girls Chorus. She sang with the Girls Chorus in various ensembles until 1998, and then sang with the Brown University Chorus from 1999-2000. Prior to Musae\'s inception in 2004, she was a member of the women\'s vocal ensembles Ars Cantus and In Treble.';

var biotext3 = '<b>Amy Fickenscher</b> joined the artistic faculty of the San Francisco Girls Chorus in 2009. She is the Director of Chorus School Level II, the Preparatory Chorus, and directs the SFGC Outreach Programs. Amy holds a Bachelor and a Master of Music in Music Education from the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, she performed with several of the UO choirs and the Eugene Symphony Chorus.</p><br /><p>Amy has served as an elementary music specialist in the Los Gatos Union School District in Los Gatos, California and the South Lane County School District in Cottage Grove, Oregon. She holds Level I Orff Schulwerk Certification and is the process of completing the Kod&aacute;ly Summer Certificate at Holy Names University. </p><br /><p>Amy has given workshops and presented research in Oregon and California. She has presented at professional development sessions for the San Francisco Opera\'s ARIA Network and the Moss Street Child Development Center in Eugene, Oregon.  Amy has also served as a guest instructor for the University of Oregon Community Music Institute.</p><br /><p>Amy began singing with Musae in the fall of 2010. She is excited to take on the role of co-artistic director of Musae and is looking forward to a wonderful spring season.';

During her 14 years in the San Francisco Girls Chorus, starting from the bottom and working her way to the top touring ensemble, Amy learned many valuable lessons and met amazing people who are still her friends today. Amy has been a member of Musae since its founding, and enjoys getting together each week with these fabulous women to make the world a better place.<br /><br />Amy lives in San Francisco with her husband, Dave, and her two daughters, Kaia, age six, and Makenna, age one. When she is not singing, Amy is a full-time preschool teacher and mother. While her favorite activity is spending time with her family, in the few hours she has to herself, she enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and crossword puzzles.';

When she is not singing, Lauren loves to ski, bake chocolate chip cookies, and travel.';

She sang with the Girls Chorus until 2002, when she moved away to attend Whitman College. There she majored in theatre; minored in anthropology, education, and history; and sang in the college chorale and chamber ensemble.<br /><br />Katie currently works at the World Affairs Council in the programs department. In her spare time, she likes trying new recipes, taking urban hikes, learning Icelandic, and planning for her July 2012 wedding.';

This eventually led her to sing with Melodia Women\'s Choir in New York City and, most recently, Musae.<br /><br />A creative soul, Allison has been working in the advertising industry for the past eight years.<br /><br />She recently moved to San Francisco from New York, and is enjoying exploring her new city. In her spare time, she works on various crafty projects for her home, family, and friends. She loves wandering with her camera and is especially inspired by the history, architecture, and beautiful vistas of San Francisco.';

She enjoys the serial comma, foraging for mulberries, breakfast at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Lennon as well as McCartney, and is a passionate foul-weather fan of the Oakland Athletics. She lives on the edge of San Francisco\'s sun belt with her triathlete, Mark, and their two-foot-tall daughter, Penelope.';

var biotext9 = '<b>Michela Macfarlane</b> maintains an active and colorful musical lifestyle. Formally, she holds two honors degrees in music: a BA in voice from UC San Diego and a MM in early vocal performance from Longy School of Music. At both schools, she was named "the most outstanding graduating student in music." Beginning in 1998, Michela enjoyed eight years of appearing with professional baroque ensembles and choirs, most notably Tragicomedia, Concerto Palatino, the Boston Early Music Festival Chorus, Boston Bach Ensemble, and Blue Heron Renaissance Choir. Internationally, she has sung on stages in Israel, Romania, and the UK, and spent two separate years living and studying in Venice, Italy. Recently, Michela crossed over to the world of jazz and pop, where she currently sings with Cantamos in the Murphys area.<br /><br />Michela lives on the edge of Glen Park in her new home with her husband, her vigorous three-year-old son, and their brand new baby. She is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner and, most importantly, a full-time mother. Michela delights in speaking Italian, cooking on her Wolf stove, and exploring new corners of San Francisco on a daily basis.';

var biotext10 = '<p>As a life-long choral musician, <b>Laney McClain</b> is very excited to be the co-artistic director of Musae this spring. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University in Afro-American Studies, a M.M. from the University of Oregon in Choral Conducting, and she is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Washington in Choral Conducting. She is  working on her dissertation about the Estonian composer Cyrillus Kreek and his arrangements of religious folksongs.</p><br /><p>Laney served as the Harvard University Fellow at the Bryanston School in Blandford, England, where she taught history, general music and choir. Additionally, she taught middle school and high school choir at the St. Stephen\'s and St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA, where she also assisted in producing the school\'s musical and in coordinating music for bi-weekly chapel services. While attending graduate school in Oregon, Laney served as the Teaching Assistant for the University of Oregon University Singers, as well as singing in several ensembles. At the University of Washington, she was a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow studying Estonian, and also served as the Assistant Conductor of the University of Washington Men\'s Glee Club.</p><br /><p>Currently, Laney is the Level III director at the San Francisco Girls Chorus, where she also works with the Prep Chorus and with school outreach programs. Laney began signing with Musae in the fall of 2011, and she is excited to continue to explore her love of women\'s choral music in this new capacity.</p>';
