Amy Stuart Hunn holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music from Stanford University, and is nearing completion of a doctoral degree in choral music from the University of Southern California (academic work supported in part by The Patricia Hennings Memorial Fund). She has served as the director of the Stanford Summer Chorus since 2008. Prior directorships include the USC Apollo Men's Choir (2006-2007), the Stanford University Lutheran Church choir (2003-2005), and the Sunnyvale Singers (1998 to 2002). She has studied conducting with Stephen M. Sano, William Dehning and Magen Solomon, and voice performance with Gregory Wait and Wendy Hillhouse. In addition, she was a participant-conductor in the 2003 Oregon Bach Festival Masterclass in Conducting, where she studied with Helmut Rilling and Thomas Summerville. Amy lives in Los Altos with her husband, Kurt Grote, and two children, Kellen (age 9) and Lucy (age 6). |
